Writer for hire at your service. I present affordable, structured and concise commissions for your gallery. All prices listed below are based on content quantity and constraints, allowing you to choose what you would like and in what manner. I write all manners of horror, fantasy and science-fiction, with contemporary fiction and historical fantasy on the side.

My rates begin when the initial sum is agreed upon. Work WILL NOT commence until my $15 fee reaches my PayPal - I will notify you with confirmation. I also work on a queue system and mutual respect. Disrespect to me or my other clients will push your work to the end of the queue, no exceptions. In that regard, I reserve the right to terminate your commission with no refund. You may request refunds at any time - your down payment will be returned in full ASAP. Attribution is compulsory under Creative Commons. By commissioning me, I presume you have read this page and consent to my terms of service.

The Good:

Horror: Weird Fiction, General Horror, Slasher, and Gross-Out
Fantasy: Dark Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, High Fantasy, Space Fantasy, Alternate History
Science-Fiction: Soft SF, Military SF
Creature-Feature: Werewolves, Vampires, Zombies, and any proposed creature
Humour: Anything with a comedy veneer


The Bad:

Fan-Fiction: No. Unless it's operating under Creative Commons or in accordance with 1968 Copyright, using someone else's IP is illegal.
- Open IP such as Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder and Shadowrun adventures apply under Game-Based Works
Racism/Sexism: If it's a character, see The Maybes. If the whole prose promotes Racism/Sexism - HELL NO!
Scripts: I have little to no experience in scripts.
Mysteries: Nothing against the genre; I have the subtlety of a Boeing 747.


The Maybes:

Poetry: Limericks, Sonnets and Ballads only.
Romance: As close as I can get to chemistry. Will not work with nymph/satyr characters or pornographic undertones.
Erotica: I hold final word on how far it goes.
Racist/Sexist Characters: Only if the character cannot exist without racism or sexist traits. General misanthropy needs no check
Game-Based Works: Negotiable. If it's a browser-based (AlacritySim) or site-based game (Tokotas on DeviantArt) I must see approval from respective mods BEFORE I consent.


Prices

All commissions begin with a $15 base fee. Standard Payment rates are a further $3 per 1000 words, with a cap on 10,000 words. Deductions and additions are included in the following list.

Formats

Prose: N/A, minimum 1000 words. Maximum 10,000 words
Poetry: +$3 per stanza
- Sonnet: -$5 one-time deduction
- Ballad: +$2 one-time penalty
- Limerick: Negotiable
Character Sheet/Backstory: Negotiable

Creature Feature: Dependent on Other Genres

Additions/Penalties

Time Constraint: $5 - $20 depending on time allocated
5,000-Word Extension: $20
Full Synopsis + Renegotiation of Plot/Characters: $5


Deductions

Present these during pitching for deductions. Deductions do NOT go below base fee; deductions activate once.

Mood Board with Diagrams and Colour Palettes: -$5
Comprehensive Character Sheet with Emotional, Mental and Social Interactions -$5
Respect and Attitude: maximum of $5, redeemed at end of project. Poor attitude may result in penalties.
