For those interesting in some BDSM role play, check out this discord server. It is a favorite of Beatrix's, but could use some more submissives. Dominants there are into rope bunnies to pure blooded masochists. It is a medieval fantasy server with all kinds of activity, and even gets into more story oriented role play.

Old man waves fist at clouds

Having some qualms with Furaffinity that I want to let out.
First to the more pertinent aspects for people, and not old people and weirdos. Why does the sfw.furaffinity.net have the NSFW switch left at the user set option, and not just as SFW? Seems like an added function that does nothing for that part of the website. It doesn't take you back over to the www half of the site with coomer content. Leaving me in a confused panic at first thinking that files I uploaded were removed, or the site had decided to do a tumblr.
The other site seems fairly good in concept, just seems odd to keep the switch when it serves no purpose, but to take up bandwidth, and done out of laziness. The site seems like a slightly better option for parents, or people that need to control themselves, since the www site can be blocked, while the sfw site can be allowed. The switch only serving the www site, and seeming to mainly be there for people that don't know the existence of the sfw site.
Next is more for the old people and weirdos. Why doesn't this site use RSS feeds? I know at this point the use of RSS(Really simple syndication) is mostly used for updating people on podcasts, but RSS is a powerful option in place of subscriptions.
RSS basically is a list of posts by users that can be read by an RSS feed reader. Using filters on that RSS feed you can separate content out to things that are of your interest. None of the worries that you will be unsubscribed since the RSS is public and universally shared, and with having RSS feeds that are separate for users, user submitted images, user submitted scraps, user submitted journals, and user submitted commissions, content that would be ideal for one group or another can be easily gotten.
For the site it's self, RSS would be a lighter option then having to have every user have their own subscription feed. Majority of the content here is images, so people will be coming over to the site normally to see the image, and will be served ads. And of the people that would try to circumvent the ads already have tools that are much easier, and more readily available. With the subscription feed system, the site has to update each person's feed individually, whether they are an active user, or someone that hasn't touched their account in a decade. The best point of function to this is for checking back on updates that are maybe 15 posts ago. Whats more, there wouldn't have to be multiple lists of subscription feeds to dish out: Journals, and Images to every user. While if there were RSS feeds for things like image's comments, or folders then users can just check in on what has been updated to a character, or series. Not every user would have to have an RSS feed existing until they upload their first image, journal, or commission page.
