Transformation Writer/Game Dev | Registered: July 21, 2007 01:35:52 AM
My name is Serathin, sometimes I go by the last name of Sabertooth and sometimes it's Saberwolf, depending on the mood.
I started out in my furry life as just a writer, but as the years go by I have evolved not just to an adult furry writer but to a number of other things as well. I've gotten comics written and currently working on a Visual Novel game, as well as an avid convention goer and fursuiter. One thing that hasn't changed though is that I love this fandom and all you fuzzbutts in it, it is because of you guys that kept me going not only in life but in the pursuit of my dreams as well. Every month that I'm here I get just a little bit better, a little more proficent and with the years having gone by I can only imagine what the future is going to bring.
One of the big things that I enjoy is transformation, it is the backbone of many of my stories and what drew me here in the first place. While I do a lot with rubber, mind control, and other things I will always be a shapeshifter at heart. One of my favorite tropes to utilize is the kind monster, whether it's a suave rubber demon that only gives what people want to a kaiju that'd rather build then destroy I'm always happy to buck the trend and attempt to do the bizarre. I would list a number of other things that I enjoy I think that there would be too many to list in all honesty. In my life I've gone from being a biological scientist working terrible jobs to having my own writing business that continuously seeks to expand, bringing these concepts and more to an ever widening audience. My goal in life is to have enough followers/patreons/etc. that I can focus completely on a variety of content creation.
Serathin is not just my fursona, it is the embodiment of all the good in my life and as such you'll rarely see him change permanently into anything other than the draconic sabrewolf you see today. Nothing in this world could ever separate me from it and I feel a strange sense of satisfaction knowing that I'll be around long after my physical form is not. However since I don't intend on letting the latter happen anytime soon expect to see new works with me long into the future. Thanks to Serathin I have been able to do a lot more than I ever imagined that I could, everything from going on stage during furry conventions to meeting new people all the way up to soon hopefully performing on a national stage. Not only am I writer because of him but also a game creator, a twitch streamer, a book seller, and so much more.
If you are looking for the artwork that I get commissioned it's all moving to my alternate sona

End of Year for the Sabrewolf (G)
Wow, it's hard to believe that we're almost at the end of 2025. It's been quite a year! A lot of projects happening, some getting further than others. Though I didn't really do the final numbers, I wrote somewhere close to 1.2 million words this year, and completed over a hundred pages of comics for Shiftcore. I also attempted to revitalize my streaming career, and want to get into Youtube as well. As usual, I'm going to break it down by brand.
Smilodon Studio:
Smilodon Studio is moving to being the main umbrella for everything, but is also where I do all my commissions. I didn't get nearly as many words done as I wanted: I had been shooting for two million, but fell quite a bit short. This year had a lot of ups and downs when it came to my time, and after eight or so months of pulling 14-16 hour days, I'm also pulling back to a better schedule. Despite this I'm still aiming for a rather ambitious 2.5 million words this year.
This year was also a price increase from $.03/word to $.04/word, which is starting in January 1st. Patreon pricing will remain the same. I've also opened for flash commissions, lowering the threshold for stories down to 1,000 words. I'm actually looking to see if I could get less comms, save for those that are in the patreon, but we'll see how things turn out. Right now I'm almost completely funding Shiftcore, so there's that.
Black Phoenix Productions:
Black Phoenix is the book publishing side of things, and due to lack of conventions I really slowed down on the publishing side of things. I did just publish two books, and with the new way of editing, I'm hoping to get more out. Once I get through the ones that I have cover art for, I will be moving on to all the others as well. I'm also editing the old books as well, but it's a lot of work. I also want to edit all my short story commissions, eventually getting those set and ready too. On another note, I will be shutting down my two webstores and moving everything to itch.io as well as Amazon.
Shiftcore:
Shiftcore has definitely gotten a lot more structured since it started, with eight artists all providing one page a month to their respective webcomic series. I also managed to get a patreon going to try and defer costs, and so far there's been some interest! This year I'm definitely going to get more advertising out there and try to draw more eyes to the project, especially since I believe in what is being built there. Two comics have over 30 pages already with the other two coming up to 20, and our newest additions are getting ready to throw down as well!
Sabrewolf Cafe:
Onto the streaming side of things! I got a great new set-up for the Sabrewolf Cafe and has taken to the next level. There is still a lot of work left to go with that, and if I want to shift my focus a little more on streaming, I know I need to do things like network and curate content. I'm still learning stuff, but I would like this to eventually be something that I can do and get support on. For the next year the focus is going to be audience growth.
Talon, Tooth, and Paw:
This one is a tough one, since all three of us has gotten a lot of things thrown at us for a while. I've been learning Unity though and starting to get used to the process, and using the assets that are being provided to me. All we can do is keep pushing forward, and we want to release our first game in the first quarter of 2026.
Crafty Sabrewolf:
I make candles, they smell nice.
That's about It for the year. I'm looking forward to 2026 and hoping to expand things even more, fingers crossed! There are a few things that I have to fine-tune and figure out, possibly some projects to axe, but right now I have a game plan and hoping that it works. Looking forward to seeing you all in the next year!
