Heya, world! So while I've been a furry for quite some time now, I've never really been part of the community until just a year ago. Originally I just made this page as a way to host commission art of my characters, but I'm going to try and upkeep it with content of my own and really try to form a more social connection to this space of mine.
I'm a writer at heart, but before I can really call myself a true writer, I want to hone my skills and build my confidence in those skills by working on various short stories. For now, I'd just say that I'm a young'un who has a lot of ideas I'm always working to refine and ultimately share with the world, in whatever medium I'm capable of, be that in writing, illustration, animation, or even programming. Daydreams, conversations with friends, and works I look up to often serve as my main well to draw ideas from, and I owe my very interest in writing to the many stories and characters in fiction that have engraved themselves onto my heart for all time.
I'm also a rabid consumer of JRPG's, with my personal favorites being the Tales Of and Persona series'. Additionally I've been into tabletop gaming ever since D&D 5th Edition came out, and I enjoy both running campaigns in my own worlds and playing within the realm of someone else's table. Roleplaying characters to me is often a great opportunity to try out new perspectives and philosophies, to subject yourself to new lines of thinking and even question some of your own beliefs through interaction with your character's world. In general, breaking down the themes and nuances of characters and narratives is often fascinating to me, and it strongly influences my appreciation for works that focus on complexly-written and motivated characters, as well as on deep thematic connections to psychology, philosophy, mythology and even the occult.
Though I've recently come out of a rut of creative apathy, I won't now hide the fact that I have a slow pace for this stuff. Ideas and inspiration come often to me, but the spark to write ignites my drive far less frequently. I really want to break this habit, but habits will be as habits are: deeply rooted. I usually write something I wish to share about once every 3-4 months at this pace, though I hope to speed it up to at least once every two months, or sooner on a particularly good streak. As for art, that's entirely dependent on how often I can afford commissions, though I do hope to build up quite the album of adorable fluffs and scales (->w<-).
As for my journals... I'm not sure what I want to do with them. Part of me wants to use them for little tidbits of worldbuilding, or as a place for me to discuss my thoughts and preferences about themes, characterization and other aspects of writing. Another part says reviews of stuff I've read, watched and played might be interesting to share. Who knows? Maybe all three could co-exist if I put my mind to upkeeping that stream of content.
With that all said, if you're browsing, hope you find something you like. If you're a friend, welcome back~
