What do you think of the songs this year, if you’re following?

Honorable mention goes to the song T Amare, which won Benidorm Fest in Spain, and ordinarily that would mean would be representing Spain 🇪🇸, however was one of the five to withdraw in protest of Israel’s reprehensible and shameful continued inclusion, those also included Slovenia, The Netherlands, Iceland, and Ireland. Those five countries have shown their moral compass points to justice, accountability, and righteousness, and hopefully if the reports of the EBU being in panic over the financial bind they find themselves now in without a big five member in the form of Spain, and massive financier like The Netherlands that means the correct decision will be reached.

I will always love this contest, it combines my love of music, geography, cultural diversity & showcases of culture in a way that make our species so unique across the world, I will always love the contest for showing that music binds all cultures together, and always has since the days of cavemen banging rocks and grunting in harmony together, I can only hope that the contest through hard decisions (that should in a perfect world have been easy) at the top level will come out of this in one piece, the world is becoming so bleak and there are so little escapes/methods of escapism, this should be one of the rare ones.

And by the way, if Spain was in with T Amare, it would be in the A Tier right after Norway, between Italy.
