Forget what I said in the last journal - I've decided I'm not really comfortable at all anymore with having all of the dirty art I commission mingle with the clean stuff and have such begun taking action against this to finally give myself some peace of mind.

The first of these actions is that I will no longer be uploading pornographic art I get to this account. While mildly suggestive art is still likely to get through, I've become increasingly dismayed at how much porn is here. Did you know that, if you count every variation of a drawing I get, I now have almost as much commissioned NSFW art as I do commissioned SFW art? The smut was always meant to be a fun little side thing and not the basis for whom my characters are, nor do I like the idea of it being the first thing people think of should they see them, so it's high time I do something to at least steer things in a direction that I'm hoping will cast my characters in a better light. Ceasing the uploading of NSFW art is a good first step to that.

But it doesn't end there. The second course of action I will be taking is that I will be slowly but surely deleting the vast majority of pornographic art from my account here. As I said above, some of the mildly suggestive stuff will be allowed to stay (as well as this pic, because I really love it and how it still hits me in a very special way even years later), but everything with an Adult rating and almost everything with a Mature rating is going to be taken down.

So, does this mean I'm done with NSFW? That my days of commissioning porn are behind me and all of that naughty art is going to be officially scrubbed from the web to the best of my abilities?

NO.
While the lewd art will indeed be removed from this account, uploads on other sites aren't going anywhere and I've actually been in the process of re-uploading everything to a new account on this very website to ensure it can still be viewable to members here. I don't like withholding the art I get from other people if I can help it, but I also don't like how everything is mixed together and felt this was the best compromise. So, if you don't like seeing NSFW art with my characters, then this means you're now far less likely to ever see it. And if you do like seeing it, then you still have a place where you can view it.

I doubt I'll ever stop commissioning NSFW art, TBH; there's a lot of great artists out there and too many fantastic lewd YCHes that are simply irresistible, but if I want my characters to be seen as something other than horny repositories, I need to start being more responsible with how I go about sharing such art. Hopefully, with a lot of it out of the way, perhaps this will also make it easier for me to figure out what sorts of SFW things I could have my characters engaging in - been having so much trouble with that lately...

Anyway, things are still under construction with the new account, as I'm not just re-uploading art, but also proofreading and fixing links aplenty in their old descriptions to reflect this change of course. It's honestly been a colossal pain in the ass with how much work it's been taking, especially what with the constant switching between accounts (and unlike Twitter, FA doesn't have an option to quickly pull that off), though at the rate I'm going, I'm hoping the shift will be complete in about a week or so, after which I'll begin uploading new NSFW art there when it comes in. Likewise, this account will eventually become a (mostly) SFW one once everything I deem too dirty for here is relocated. That will eventually include favs, mind you, but FA thankfully has an option to not show the naughty stuff to anyone who visits my page, plus I'm also working towards faving all of the dirty stuff currently in that tab with my alt, so you can all continue to see what porn I like and silently judge me for it.

As for what the account is called? I'm not ready to share the name of it just yet, as there's still a lot left to do with it before I'm satisfied, though some of you can likely find breadcrumbs I've left behind on this account via certain links that I have already revised and what-have-you. It's a name that some of you might actually be familiar with, based on how much some of you wanted to know about me elsewhere, actually...
