I made that account in 2008. The email used for it is likely long dead. I have gone through THREE new PCs in that time, and moved multiple times irl including, to a new state. AND I use a VPN, and have been for years now.

The staff, instead of being human about this, sent me a canned, corpo response. They require-

A photo of my ID
My current IP address
The email last associated with the account (the one I don't remember.)

What the actual FUCK do EITHER of those first two have to do with this?

The IP is not going to match, I made the god damn account in 2008, from a different STATE and a totally different MACHINE.

And my FUCKING ID!??? WOT M8? I hate how we live in an era where being asked for your shitting ID online has been normalized. NO. FUCK. THAT.

I'm mad. This is totally unnecessary, they can SEE I credit myself as a creator on that account, they could just ASK Stank or Buckywhitetail for corroboration, there are far less intrusive ways to prove that account was mine than ASKING FOR MY FUCKING GOVERNMENT ID.
