My headcanon for ‘Fruit People’ is that they exist for the same reason regular fruit does: to be enjoyed by others. They’ll happily let you do whatever you want to them so long as you’re doing it to feel pleasure, which is a distinction that they can sense innately. They can regenerate from severe damage and even regrow lost body parts, so being mutilated is just another way to serve their only purpose in life to them. In fact, they’re even completely fine with being murdered for fun, because they can regrow from their nigh-indestructible ’Heartseeds’.

You could grab a Fruit Person off the streets, rip their skin off, and start to take savage bites out of their flesh, and they’d spend the entire time encouraging you to continue, or to be even more violent with them if you wanted. The fact that they’re smiling and laughing the entire time doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt though; they feel pain just as strongly as they do pleasure, but since both pain and pleasure are aspects of why they exist, they embrace them equally.

Fruit People possess both their own, unique personalities, as well as their own sexual kinks, and are instinctively drawn to those they’d be most compatible with.

Fruit People are capable of bonding with others, be they Fruit or Non-Fruit, and can even form surrogate families. When not serving as a sex toy or a food source, they can be extremely kind and understanding friends, always ready to be there for you in whatever way you need them.

Fruit People do not directly produce more Fruit People. Under certain circumstances, a Fruit Person will internally gestate a single, large egg-like seed, which will grow into what appears to be a massive example of whatever plant produces the fruit the Fruit Person matches, which will then produce unusually large but perfectly normal fruits, except on occasion a new Heartseed will be found inside one of them. Planting and growing that Heartseed will bring a new Fruit Person into the world.
