Our border collie's Dido hasn't been getting any younger, and we'd given some thought to getter a replacement for when she goes, but nothing we ever really followed up on. Then yesterday the neighbors stopped by and dropped off Tucker, who's pretty sweet. I'll admit I wasn't ecstatic about the idea of yet another animal in the house, but actually he's not so bad. Maybe a bit excitable, but much nicer than Dido, who is the grouchiest grouch that has ever grouched.

It's also lambing season, and we're beginning to see the formation of the yearly crop of lambs than need to be bottle-fed because they can't find or have been rejected by their mothers. We've got three of them so far, and one lamb who's got pneumonia who we've taken into the house to warm up a bit. Tucker is mingling with the sheep very nicely.

So... that's pretty much it as far as big news. I wonder if I should consider journaling more often. Hrm.
