6 years later... (G)

So huh... hi friends! it's been a while. six years since i've even touched this place as a matter of fact. I suppose it's time to give an update.
Alot has changed in six years, and when i say alot i really mean ALOT.
in 2021, my mom was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer and i was forced to move and start living a new life of my own. I had no fucking idea what i had coming my way at the time and still can barely believe i actually made it trough everything. If someone had asked me where i'd be at 26 years old, this wasn't what i would have expected, especially when my mom's diagnosis happened.
I moved to a new city and was taken in by a friend of mine, who taught me many things about life in general, especially the most basic things... like working at a job and living without relying on your parents, boy was that hard especially at first.
I found a job a week after moving and kept it for the next 4 years, up untill july of 2025. I moved multiple times due to different circumstances (especially shitty landlords) but always stayed close enough to keep working there.
Now that i had my own income, i was able to work towards my biggest life goals, such as acquiring my driver's license, purchasing my first car, buy a fursuit i only ever had dreamt of owning someday, and traveling to conventions that i always saw as out of reach in the past. I'm happy to say i've reached those goals.
Nowadays, i actually quit my first job, moved back to my home town and now working on taking my education further which so far has been going pretty well! I'm really proud of how far I've come.
Sadly, both my parents passed. i learned to accept it although it will always leave a certain void in my heart. But i do want to make them proud and achieve things they always hoped i would. It's a long healing process, but i don't plan on giving up.
I've made amazing friends along the way, and I'm truly grateful for their support throughout the journey. They helped me tremendously to become a more mature person over the years.
I will most likely share a picture eventually of this new suit of mine! It truly helped me break out of my shell and grow as a person too, costume or not, it feels like part of my identity now.
I hope everyone has been well and wish you all the best. Feel free to reach out if you want, I'm happy to catch up with anyone who's interested in doing so ^^
