I've really never understood how someone could "stay in the closet" about something. That is why I have told friends of mine that I was a furry. I never thought it would be a big deal and after I did they just didn't understand, they even made fun of me! Don't get me wrong I am not a pussy, I can take an insult, but this is who I am and good friends made fun of that! And after realizing I will have to stay with my family for a time before I go off to the real world I need to tell them, or be forced to live a secret life, but my closest friends! If they don't understand how can anyone? Please someone help me!!! What should I do, and how do I tell my family what I am after this?
