*flops down on the floor from exhaustion* SO~! I went to AWA over the weekend. That was my fourth con, but first AWA. I had a great time, save for some complications with my group ride/leader. She made us late to the con the first two days, and on the third day Karen (Musable on FA, cosplayed Rikku) and I had to call one of our con friends to come pick us up. Then she wouldn't drive us back to the public transportation station, so that was a four block walk with a heavy carry-on bag (thankfully it had wheels). I ended up missing a lot of the panels I wanted to go see, almost didn't get to meet Vic Mignogna, and almost wasn't able to return the pink wig I borrowed from my new friend Cammie. On the flip side, I did go see one really good panel, Totally Lame Anime, caught the tail end of a game show with Vic before TLA, got to take -tons- of photos, made new friends, went to the rave, and by a stroke of luck, I even got my picture with Vic. Oh, yeah, and I was able to return the wig on time before Cammie had to leave. Not sure if I will post a few of my AWA pics, yet. I'm new to the site and dunno what is upload friendly at the moment.

On to being a n00b! Yar, I'm new here to FA. I've been a closet furry for a while and am just now starting to come out of my hidey hole with it, and still exploring my likes and dislikes with furries. I guess my interest in furries (sub-consciously) started arouuuuund, 10? 11? I watched a lot of cartoons like Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, Pink Panther, etc. (still do), and was playing on the Sega, N64, and Xbox, so video games that featured anthropomorphs sparked my interest as well. I always thought that cartoons and movies that featured my favorite animals with some sort of human characteristics was pretty damn cool, and if a game allowed you to play any kind of animal type, and I liked it, I always had at least one. I've a big love for cats (domestic and wild), and as I got older, the more I realized that I identified with cats... What with being elegant, agile, cunning, intelligent, independent, beautiful, and with a little bit of attitude.

My cat fursona of choice ended up being the Snow Leopard, which stems from my personal life. Snow Leopards generally live in cold, harsh environments, are elusive and at times alone, and are endangered. I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life, unfortunately, but I have weathered my bad storms and continue to tread the ice and snow with a strong head and heart. I'm elusive in the sense that I am a homebody. I will go out every now and then, but nothing beats being in the comfort of my home. Alone ties in with homebody, but it also means that even when I am at home, depending on my mood, I like to be left alone. Endangered, despite it's horrible meaning, to me means one of a kind, unique, there are only so many who I can relate to/make friends with easily. This is also how I came up with my handle, SnowWalker.
