i am a 21 year old male living in Houston, Texas as i type this. some of my favorite Furry Films, (if, indeed, there is such a genre) include, among others, Rock & Rule and Bagi, the Monster of Mighty Nature. i am very partial to cute animals like puppies and kittens. i just cannot get enough of them. i was also born with Asperger Syndrome, in case anyone cares. i am in college studying to be some kind of visual artist. like an actor or a painter. i do not identify myself with any one species but i was born under the constellation Taurus, in the year 1990, the year of the horse. so i guess that explains a little. i am an avid old-school gamer and have several retro game compilations for various consoles. this Christmas, i am hoping to receive a Sega Master System, which will be the first 8-bit console i have ever owned. i also would like to receive Rock & Rule on Blu-Ray so that i can enjoy the Canadian Version in all of it's SD glory. i have a few VHS tapes of various nerdy schlock. anime, superheros, sci-fi, et-cetera. i have a bunch of comic books and graphic novels which i read and re-read on a regular basis. my favorite artist, American, Japanese or otherwise, is Osamu Tezuka, creator of Astro Boy, Metropolis, and over 150,000 other pages of other masterpieces. i have read several of his works. i have never been to a Furry Convention, as i know of none within Houston or even Texas for that matter. except for Furry Fiesta. but that's all the way in Dallas. by the way, the theme of this year's Furry Fiesta, "Beyond Thunderdome" is what got me back into Mad Max. i hope to make a furry comic of the whole trilogy. Mad Max will be a rabbit, the rest of the characters will be various other species. here's me procrastinating.
UPDATE:
Well, a lot has changed in the 12 years (as I type this) since I typed the above blurb. I guess I'll keep it there for posterity's sake. Anyway, among the things that have changed: I am now 33 as I type this. I have moved out of Houston, Texas (only physically, my heart still lives there), and now reside in Laredo, Texas with a partner. I no longer have as much fondness for Bagi or Rock & Rule as I once did, though I do still like them. I still like puppies and kittens, but have since graduated to much more "mature" animals like horses, but also grown-ass dogs and cats. I now prefer to be called autistic, which I am. I am no longer in college, but I desperately want to go back. I now am thinking about creating a different fursona to replace the rabbit I created in my 20s. I no longer relate to rabbits. I find myself, as I said, more relating to my western zodiac sign of the horse. Plus, I love westerns, and horses are a big part of westerns, so maybe a big, buff horse-man dressed as a cowboy. Like, with a fringed vest and chaps with a Stetson. I dunno. Sounds kinda cool to me. I still love old-school games, but I have since hocked most of my pre-32-bit consoles, with the exception of the SNES, which I still keep around for some reason. I no longer desire a Sega Master System. However, I would very much love to procure another Dreamcast. I do not have Rock & Rule on Blu-Ray, but I still own it on DVD. I understand both formats have now become quite rare. I still have never been to a furry convention, but I have been to a few anime and comic conventions. I wouldn't mind attending a furry convention. If nothing else, than to cross it off my bucket list. I still love Mad Max but have since lost all interest in adapting the now tetralogy (!!!). However, I do have a few ideas for stories which I believe could lend themselves to furry art. E.g., a high school coming-of-age story with cats. Or, a fantasy epic with non-anthro dogs. I need to work on it. Again, here's me procrastinating. Things that haven't changed: I still own my VHS tapes, my favorite comic artist is still Osamu Tezuka, and I still have a bunch of comic books and graphic novels that I have read and reread on a semi-regular basis.
We'll see what happens in another ten years.
