Commission procedures outline
This is a general outline for how the back and forth on an embroidery commission will go, just so customers know what to expect. I may tweak it slightly later if needed.
1. Choose the design. Point me at an existing image and I'll look at how feasible it will be to turn it into embroidery. This may require some discussion on simplifying the image in order to make the embroidery possible.
2. Double check the rights. You'll need to either verify that you are the sole creator of the original image or that the creator has given permission for me to create embroidery out of it. If the artist requires some additional payment or conditions to allow it make sure to work it out with them and let me know how to credit them if they ask for it.
3. Payment. At this point everything needed to price the embroidery should be known so payment will be due.
4. Color selection (optional). If you wish you may tell me exactly which thread colors to use when creating the design, otherwise I can match the colors myself. Colors available can be seen here: http://www.marathonthread.com/polyester.htm
5. Design preview approval. I will create the embroidery file and generate a preview image for what the design will look like. Unless I am told otherwise I will probably post the image to the scraps section of my account here. This is the point to let me know if something looks off since it can easily be corrected here. Note that just as with printing, the colors shown on screen may not look exactly like the physical result. At my standard prices I will not give you the actual embroidery file, it will cost extra if you want it.
6. Photo approval. I will actually create the design and take a picture of it. Unless told otherwise I will post it here. This is the time for final approval of how it looks. Note that unless the design somehow doesn't match up with the preview image corrections at this point will cost $6.
7. Shipping. I'll ship the result off to you.
