Fuck you 2025, what a terrible fucking year!!
There were some cool parts and okay parts, but it was mostly terrible. I got sick a lot, my partner's job was in jepody all year coz her boss is a control freak, my partner got a concussion which took her out of work again.
So with all Gwen's job related trouble, I hauled a lot of ass to make ends meet, I went looking for jobs. Didn't find a job, the job market in NewZealand is terrible because of dumb political reasons, you know how it is. But I got into a few programs to help me find a job because, fellas, I've never actually had a job before, I don't actually know how to get a job, let alone what job I wanted.
The programs were pretty helpful, I have more of an idea on what direction I want to take.
Still no job yet, but I know what I'm gonna do next I just need to figure out my plans for this coming year.

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

So, on the 22nd of December, myself, Short-snout and our cat went on a camping trip to a well known gay campground for Christmas and NewYears.

The site is called "Vinegar Hill" and it is one of the longest running gay campsites in the world. It was a very magical time, the place itself was beautiful and all the people there were extremely friendly, there was a real sense of community. We all kinda just understood eachother and there was no need to hide anything about ourselves because everyone there was queer.
The both of us stayed at Vinegar Hill for 2 weeks and just let the trauma of 2025 wash off, it was amazing.

On the night of Christmas Eve, the sky was entirely clear of clouds.
One thing some people might not know about NewZealand, is that it has some of the clearest skies in the world with very little light pollution, and Vinegar Hill is a slice of paradise in the middle of bumfuck nowhere! There is no other lightsource other than the campfire, the moon and the stars.

Gwen is making spell tags to give to people to wish for good things for Christmas and the new year, I ask her to do one for me.

The spell tag I got back was a marriage proposal.
I said yes, of course!

So yea, I'm engaged to  Short-snout now!
I'm so happy I get to be a weird trans furry with another weird trans furry <3

Dunno when we're getting married tho, as said before I still got no job! So, chaos willing, I will get a job some time this year.

On the art front, things are moving slowly.

I'm getting back into the habit of drawing regularly and working on commissions.

I'm aiming realistically to re-open in March when my queue will hopefully be empty.
That said, I would really like to be able to re-open sooner, but I need to be real about my ability and taking on a queue that is too long STRESSES ME THE FUCK OUT and nobody gets what they want when I'm too stressed to deliver. Many such cases.

I think 2025 was a good year on the art front for me, coz I now have a kinda realistic expectation for myself with commissions. I did get stressed out a little bit, people can probably tell. But I did manage to follow through and complete things and here we are!
I've managed to be semi-regular with my last few commissions taking about a month each to complete.
That's doable for me :)

In the mean time, I might post some doodles and stuff I do on the side :3
