Silent boy
There once was a child,
Who never spoke a word.
He never changed his face,
Never cried when he got hurt.
Those dearest to him stood away,
They didn't know what to do.
And since they treated him in silence,
Silence became the only thing he knew.
As the years passed and he grew
He still remained the same,
Never speaking to anyone
And for that, no one ever came.
He was always picked on,
Someone always had something to say;
Either 'you are dead inside',
Or 'your life is wasted away'.
Through all the insults, the words,
The bruises, and the pain,
He tolerated it all, turned away,
He remained silent, he never changed.
His life kept getting worse.
He was no longer shown love,
He was just another silent boy
Who only deserved another shove.
No one ever showed sympathy.
No one saw that he was torn.
No one ever saw him as a person.
To them, he wasn't even born.
But he did learn how to feel,
The dormant feelings finally awoke.
The agony he felt towards their words,
The pain from the hits and words they
spoke.
He felt though, that it was too late,
Trying to change now wouldn't help.
He was already who he was,
He didn't know what to do with himself.
His life, to him, was always rotten,
But no one ever would have known.
His life wasn't seen in his face,
His pain was never shown.
Just because he was silent,
Didn't mean he wanted help.
Just because he looked expressionless,
Didn't mean he never doubted himself.
But everyone treated him the same
And he continued to endure it all,
And because silence was all he knew,
He stayed that way, ready to fall.
He had always vowed to himself
That one day he would learn to speak,
That he would tell everyone how he felt,
That he actually never was weak.
He couldn't bring himself to it though,
No matter how much he wanted or tried
.His words ended up lost and gone,
And when he was alone he sighed and
cried.
No one would see how afraid he was,
He couldn't help that he was scared.
For all he knew, he lived in hate,
No one understood, and no one cared.
Then one day,
One day,
He snapped.
Who never spoke a word.
He never changed his face,
Never cried when he got hurt.
Those dearest to him stood away,
They didn't know what to do.
And since they treated him in silence,
Silence became the only thing he knew.
