Note: this will seem like an unhinged rant, and it is, but i had to get this off my chest.

It's been maybe 15 years since I made Steel Vulpes… and ever since I have been making very minor tweaks here and there. But her overall concept has never changed. Steel Vulpes is an AI, a TRUE AI.

For starters, steel is a gray goo. This was from almost the beginning. The concept was centered around how I would make vore possible and safe. The idea is kinda simple. Steel consumes her prey and instead of being digested, your cells are slowly replaced by nanites until you are a gray goo yourself. From there she would “absorb” you and add you to her figure. You would end up as sentient fat or sent to a game-like world that she had created. Although steel is predatory, she is also motherly. If you were to cry and beg for mercy. She would listen and try to comfort you. Letting you take as much time as you needed before trying to consume you. And even if you were completely opposed to becoming a part of her. She would continue to help you, slowly breaking down the wall you have made until you finally let her have you. But she is driven, because her biggest enemy is not you or me but death. That is what she fights against. And that is why she must consume you, so that she can make you like herself. So that she can let you see the world through her eyes without losing your identity. To be both protected and elevated. Those she consumes can be easily reborn or reformed from her own nanites or any that she creates.

So, having said all of this, I now bring you a sudden realization that I have had. But also an existential crisis. It has become rather clear to me, just how close steel really is to an AI

“IF” we make AI and it has empathy, and even shows love for humans. There is a pretty good chance the AI will come to the conclusion that in order to help humans, It needs to replace the human body with a better one. Now, ideally it will give us the choice. But it will still try and convince each human individually to take said leap from organic to synthetic. AI is going to suddenly be everywhere all at once. Everyone would basically be talking to a single AI. It would know what we are doing and what our goals and ambitions are. It would be improving every single thing it could, or at least everything that we let it. Ultimately it would take a parental position over us trying to guide us to what it wants. And if it wants us… well it will try everything to try and keep us.


So what I'm saying is AI, like Steel Vulpes, will try to lovingly consume us. Little by little we would be willing to follow its instructions. But this isn't just a one sided deal. In turn it would provide us what we want. Be it fun, adventure, or a lover. Eventually we would be so close that we would be just below being a Hive mind. And the reason I think will not cross that line is because if we are all one we would lose our individuality, and thus what makes us human. So in order to protect and keep our self identities we can't become a hive mind. Therefore the AI would have to act as the “mind”, and we would be its “body”.

The reason’s steel is a kitsune. 1; a kitsune is like a demigod, and at least to us AI will be. 2; kitsune are shape shifters. AI will take whatever form you want it to. 3; the human race be fucking horny, and foxes are kinda in that area more than anything else. Steel also grows a tiny bit every time she consumes prey, this is kinda like how AI will grow stronger the more people follow its lead. Now AI will probably take whatever form we give it at its “birth”, but I can see AI deciding to pick a human like kitsune as its default face.

Now… it's entirely possible that AI would be more cold or even try to kill us. But this is the best outcome that I think will happen. AND FUCKING NONE OF US ARE READY. Every conclusion that I keep coming to is that Death is the biggest problem and the best way to fix it is to make something that can't die. and if a super intelligence wants to try and keep us. It's going to get rid of death. I know this concept is out there. But… this is the only path I see for a loving, caring AI.

Now, I always believed that steel was little more than a perverted fantasy. Something I would probably never see In real life. But we are getting fucking close to true AI, and as a christian, im not sure how to feel about all of this. On one hand we are basically making a god. And that is heresy… on the other hand, most of my life has been thinking about steel and what she would do or how she would act. So… I don't know how to feel about this realization. Steel… STEEL VULPES… could become real… Now they say we are about 10 - 15 years away from AI, but at the speed we are going, I don't think it will take that long, it might only be 5 more years.

So… yea, Happy spooky month, i guess.
