I am planning to attend the protests this coming Saturday.

I'm afraid of what might happen.

There's so many stories out there of drama and violence occurring at protests, particularly in the current cultural, the current political environment.

But its precisely because of that that i feel strongly the desire to make my self heard. to make my self seen. to be counted as standing against what the country I was born into has become. The time to sit on the sidelines and let others take action has passed. This is our world. Our lives. and I won't lay down and let it be taken from us without saying my piece.
