Good day! T’is I, Sylvan, from good old Blighty!



I’m just your average socially awkward, borderline manic depressive Brit who one day noticed that humans were, on the whole, not very nice to each other. Thus I found furries.



I’m shy and I didn’t know how to become a part of this group of wonderful people; I didn’t feel there was anything I could bring to the fandom – I’m better at numbers than words, better at computers than people, I’ve had no formal training in art or music etc.



Then, one fateful day, I put a pencil onto some paper and moved it around until I could make shapes happen, so here I began a journey of learning, posting milestones on the internet such that I might give something back to this wonderful community.



GAH words I don't know pretend there's something good here.

If I were being all profound I'd say I'm in a moment of transition after surviving the chemo etc. so I'll do words later.

So, I survived the first (and most worrying) of the 4 major hurdles, and now, I might have a future. *Massive sigh of relief* Sorry, now you have to put up with my inane banter again (I'm hoping, now that I've got about twice as much blood available for my brain to use, I'll get better at being social). Normal, infrequent and annoying service will resume once my whole body stops hurting, and once I've gotten used to not dying.

...It's like I've actually acquired a superpower; I can make blood inside my own body! Imagine that!
