Also, I don't mind if people use my pictures as references for their own characters, but I *do* like it when you get my permission to do so first. THERE IS AN EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE: Any picture involving me and someone else is STRICTLY OFF LIMITS.

Collaborative/joint/split commissions, and commission lis... (G)

This is a repost, some information has been changed and I combined it with my commission list.

Whatever you happen to call them, I've got a bunch of notes about this subject over the years and quite a few lately, so I figured I'd make a journal to help save time!

I'm absolutely all for these! It may not always be right away, sometimes I might say "Can it wait a week?" because of budget reasons, but rarely will I outright decline.

Some of you I've approached on my own with ideas for either splitting commissions or just having your character paired up with one of mine at my expense. Others have approached me for similar, so I'm good with both methods. I do have some general advice for approaching me about this though!

Come to me with at least ONE idea. Don't say you'd like to use my characters and then ask me if I have any ideas for the scene.

Have an artist either in mind or already lined up for the picture. I understand some people asking for recommendations for artists on certain characters like Syphon with his annoying-to-draw arm and fur pattern, but really you should already have an artist in mind. There's only a handful of artists I prefer to avoid working with and I'm always open to new artists.

If it'd intended as a gift picture for me and you don't want to reveal any details, PLEASE make sure I'm okay with the content first. Don't have to tell me specifics, just the general kinks.

Syphon and Sydea are off-limits for adult rated pictures, EXCEPT for certain situations. You can still ask about them, worst I can do is say no!

And lastly, if you ask if I can get someone like Wolfy-Nail, Stoopix, Jay Naylor, Grungecandy, or another big-name artist simply I happen to have some work by them, you're going to be instantly shot down.

This part is more for me than for others, just so I can keep better track of commissions I have out and such.
