Spring Is here!
Well, In Texas where I am at. Its been spring for the past several weeks. Ahead of Schedule. Still, I've had to cut my grass already. Going to get it done this week again. I did do some prep last fall. I spread two bags of wildflower seeds. Sadly, The ones in the big pots came up in the middle of winter and the cold snap we had killed them off. Luckily, I have had a few plants grow this year. That was a surprise. Nope on the bluebonnets I tried. Never had much luck with them. They are just random. I also began my first raised garden this year. I did pick up plants. Several tomato and jalapeno plants. Some flowers and such early. Most of them ended up in the large pots I have. They are doing great. I already have tomatoes showing up. I planted late last year and did not get any till late fall. I am happy. All of the plants I put in already have flowers. So, I am expecting some nice flowers and fruit from them.
The Raised Garden is a first for me. I got the special blocks and the 2x6x12 pressure treated wood for the sides. So its 6 inches tall and with two cut 2x6x10 boards I have a darn big box. Thirty plus bags of dirt was not even close to filling it. I have a couple of really nice Grass cutting Dudes that cut my grass. They also work at the local Nursery. So, I have been having them help me. They built the box for me. After finding that I was so short on dirt they brought me barrels of the tossed stuff the nursery uses. If a plant dies they toss the dirt into a pile. He just takes it by the truck load and uses it for his outside work. It was a boon for me. So, tomorrow I will be going and buying the rest of the plants I need to make my new home nice. Plant the garden out. I'm looking forward to improving things and myself by being active caring for my new plants.

“You know if she melts down a car. I’m not going to bury it.” Mr. Jones jokes as they walk back to put up the shovels in the storage room.
