Hello, my name is Talos, and I am the chief engineer for the launch loop project on the planet of Eterc, where I have lived for the past 15 years. The launch loop is one of many projects that protogens and the people of Eterc are working on in order to reach the stars. I would also like to add that my time on Eterc has been the most meaningful time of my life, and the people of Eterc have given our small group of protogens so much hospitality.

Eterc Lore: I wanted to tell you about the planet of Eterc, where I have happily lived on for the past 15 years along with the rest of my crew of 12,411 protogens.
When we first landed on this planet, the Western continent of Ulodana and the Eastern continent of Iccupsev reached the height of tensions between one another and were on the brink of nuclear war. We later learned that this would have been the second nuclear war to happen on the planet, since roughly 200 years prior to our arrival, there was a similar conflict that resulted in the destruction of both the ancestral and religious Homeland of the people of Eterc, along with most settlements along the Northern hemisphere. 15 years ago, the planet was split into two federations, one federation spanning the entire Western Continent and another spanning the entire Eastern continent. Due to this tension, we expected to be met with overwhelming resistance upon landing, but instead we were welcomed with open arms by world leaders and citizens alike, since it was prophesized that a race from the stars, that they called the Cardinals, would descend to the planet once again and bring about an era of prosperity that would continue until well after the last stars die out, and that was exactly what we were going to do. Over the next 5 years, we worked out conditions for a peace treaty between the two federations, that favored neither federation nor the protogens, and required all members of the treaty to demilitarize. In the years following, protogens integrated into the society of the planet, and worked with some of the best minds that Eterc has to offer in order to make the Era of endless prosperity a reality. The most important step to this goal is building the launch loop, which will provide inexpensive space travel to all people of Eterc, and the resources of the solar system and the heavens beyond. Currently, I live near the western terminal of the launch loop in the city of Smyrna on the Zayeb Sea, and my co-workers and I are doing the final tests on it before it is ready for civilian use. 15 years ultimately comes down to the success of this launch loop.
