My name's Dorothy, but ya'll can call me Tatta!
I named this account Tatta's Rat Nest after my actual business... though I've been thinking of changing it to Tatta-doodles.
Sorry if it's a little confusing! ^^;
I'm trying to be more active here on FA, though I'm most active on DeviantArt.
I've been an artist since 2001, a cosplayer/fursuit maker since around 2008, and I use a very cartoony style as my base,
though I do occasionally like playing around in other styles.
I am also one of the lead artists for Alamo City Furry Invasion.
I do a wide variety of art, both traditional and digital. Some of my fave mediums are:

I work full time at my Hobby Lobby but still manage to attend a number of conventions year round, some anime cons, some furry cons. (list below)
I'm a Catholic Christian, and the founder of 
(though I left the group in good hands once I became too busy to manage it)
I love my faith, but I'm also very loving and tolerant of my neighbors (as all good Christians should be) so do not let my religion dissuade you from chatting with me ^^
I'm very friendly and love to talk! I tend to be a night owl (since my job works me mostly during the day)
In the furry fandom I consider myself more of a participent than a member.
I actually only draw animals and anthro art, because I find it more fun to draw than humans

sooooooo, long time no see? heh

yeah, I know you guys (or, those of you that'll read this) have heard this before...
"I'll start posting again!" and "I need to be more active here"
well.... a lot has been going on in my life that's let me forget about these sites (FA, DA, and such)
1. I've moved mostly to telegram (a messaging site, like messenger, with a little bit of a discord vibe) I have an art chat on there (https://t.me/TattasRatNest) and most of my commissions come from there. soooo I tend to not have much of a reason to remember DA and FA exist ^^;
2. with my full time job (still working at Hobby Lobby) I tend to get caught up in real life stuff... you know, standing.... cutting fabric.... more standing.... getting yelled at by rude customers etc
3. (the BIGGEST news) I GOT PREGNANT!!! yes, tikes-tastic are having a kid (as of typing this, I'm due to have him any day~ yes, it's a boy~) so THAT has taken a bit of a president over my time, and will continue to do so from here on out. this came as a big surprise to us, as I was told by 3 Dr.s that the possibility of getting pregnant (let alone carrying the baby to term) would be near impossible~ but I guess God had other plans ^^
"what's the point of this update" you ask? well.... I DO plan on trying to remember to post... as I now have a heavy buffer of art (from my.... YEAR of inactivity ) while I won't be posting my stream times here anymore (it's just too much for me to remember, between all the social media I use....) BUT if you watch me on twitch, or picarto, then you will get notified then~ (I'm "TattaDoodles" on both streaming sites by the way)
my plan is to try and remember to post 3 pics every week. not a lot, I know, but I have to start (again) somewhere~
