(Yes, I'm desparate enough to crosspost here after many years of moving to  Solon Ezeri, and then  Gallows Gryph. Things are dire for us.)

Going to be blunt with you all. Things aren't looking great for me and  supersilverdraco.

On the 11th, my uncle started a process to force the sale of the home he and I co-own (50/50 joint ownership) by use of a potential partition lawsuit, which would get me mny share of the money through a court-ordered sale of the property, but leave Sildrae and I on the street, quite literally. We don't have a working vehicle, and nowhere to go. We didn't find out till the 13th, and he ghosted us on the 13th and 14th, removing four of the TEN DAYS we had to come to an agreement, or else his lawyer would automatically start the process.

I finally got in touch with him yesterday, and he told me what was going on: his house is falling apart, his vehicle is in bad shape, he is in dire need of shoulder surgery (I knew this), and not only is his wife's dementia getting worse, she has liver cancer on top of it. He's running out of money, panicking, and desparate enough to go this far to get money he needs to keep going.

I can feel for him We just lost his brother, the uncle I lost at the end of June, and now this is dumped on him. However, I need to stand up and take action myself, and I did so. I'm needing peace of mind to start writing again, and I place ot live is kinda a necessity for that peace. He was asking $60,000 USD to buy his share, so that plus taxes and fees is what I have set as a goal.

I started a GoFundMe to try and raise the money as quickly as possible. I'd appreciate donations if you can give them, and passing word through journals and social media would help immensely as well. I know it's a lot to ask, and $60K isn't a small chunck of change, but I'm at least willing to give it a shot, and show him I'm willing to try and get the money together.

This couldn't have happened at a worse time, either. I'm over 15,000 words into a story that I planed on making my first self-published work for sale, so I could start earning my income, only to have this dropped on me. I'm going to try and keep working where possible, but there's a lot to be worried about right now.
