Wow, it's strange to be engaging with FA again after so long. Been struggling with myself for a long time. Much of my life has been trying to understand a problem no one was willing to engage with or help me find a solution for. It's sad that my first encounters with something that was vaguely shaped like me was through porn. To be trans was to be invisible or a sex object and it wasn't until much more recently that I finally have been able to both engage with myself in a healthy way and finally modify this misaligned meat puppet into something I can feel good about.

Sex and sensuality has always been something important to me and I couldn't understand why I was so disappointed in most porn and often felt a great deal of anger or violation at the themes. What I've come to realize is most porn is created for Cis straight(ish) men. Additionally much of it is steeped themes of misogynistic and hierarchical assumptions and really badly executed but obsessive fixation on PIV. In many ways it is a perfect reflection of the world we live in. One thing I always felt validating about porn is how much of it seems to be honest about the terrible assumptions society makes but often hides under day to day circumstances.

I want to see better porn, and in particular more queer porn. I used to write more and I am trying to get back into creating lewd stories again. In general I just want more stories that feature people like me without all the garbage assumptions. Hopefully I can manage my mental health to at least add something to that pool.

Things certainly look bad these days, with the general rise of fascism and misguided rage from people suffering under capitalism. I think some of the best tools we have are stories though what ever medium we tell them through. We are story oriented creatures and the more art we can create to help people find who they are the harder it is for suffocating ideologies to gain traction. As long as we continue to survive and grow nothing so static can hope to endure. Just as all the concrete and metal streets are endlessly torn apart by the unassuming sprouts of everyday plants.
