PWYW COMMS (G)
hey!
so like a pride-themed pwyw run i did, i'm opening pwyw (pay-what-you-want) comms again, although this time - no theme/specific themes behind them, just whatever general ideas you shoot at me.
so basically alongside my regular commissions (which guarantee a certain style/shading/detail to the piece from their price points and upward and so on, especially if you have a very specific idea, so they're not completely made useless/pointless), i'm opening up pwyw's for the foreseeable future, mostly due to medical bills. irl work/job gets me by for the most part, but it leaves me with only a little spending money between rent and medical bill payments. but i do still get by on those/those are covered, and i will be fine at least, if no one's interested in these or my usual comms. this mostly just helps me build savings in case of emergency and helps me occasionally get foods/medicines/things not bought by the household. it's okay if no one takes up on these commissions though, i'll get by either way! i've made it this long after all. just i figured i'd open these pwyw's as another opportunity for both ya'll and me just in case! plus, even outside of the financial side of things, pwyw-type comms help me destress a little between irl work and regular commissions - as it is less strict of a format, but still allows you to get something you might be interested in/a general idea if you like my art, or to dip your toes in before you're ready to commit to a big commission.
with the initial reasoning/explanation out of the way:
like the pride pwyw's, essentially, if you wish to take up on one of these, toss me in a message: the character or multiple characters, your ref(s) if you have any, and tell me what general idea you have - if you have a general idea! or tell me if you want me to have creative freedom (creative freedom in this case will lend more time to go to detail since i'd have to be doing a little less workshopping to get everything looking right - so you may get a slightly more detailed piece even if you paid a little on the lower end if you give me creative freedom/let me go with what comes to mind - while if you're more strict/want a very particular idea but are only willing to pay a certain price, you may get a less shaded/detailed/cleaned up piece in return). you'd have to be willing to pay at least $20 as a minimum for one character for something basic (the more creative freedom thats given as opposed to strict specifics, the more i might do with it/the more you might get out of that minimum/lower amounts)!
when you send me that message, i'll let you know if i can do/am up for doing the piece (general comm rules/restrictions apply! there are certain things i won't do and certain things that still apply, so please give my commission post's rules a look!) and if i do decide to take it on, you'll then pay what you want for the piece. whatever the amount is that you wish to pay will determine how much detail and time goes into the piece. the lower the amount, the more simple the piece will be. the higher the amount, the more detailed/shaded/time in general that goes into it. just know that if you have more than one/two characters and are paying on the lower end, less detail may go into both characters as it's additional work/time, and depending on what you paid, compromises would have to be made on that/you may lose out on something/a non-important detail - and if it's important to you, you may have to pay more if you're still wanting to keep a certain style/vibe. essentially, if you're looking for a piece for a certain price, just know that the outcome/final piece relies on how much you pay and how many characters/etc you're asking for - so unlike my regular commissions, the final result isn't as solid/guaranteed in style and detail/shading/the kind of outcomes you can expect per examples for each style in my regular commissions. these are less guaranteed in outcome and meant to be less strict than my usual commissions, after all! if you really want something specific, in a very specific layout with very specific shading/style in mind that you've seen based on my commissions or so on, you'd be better off checking out my normal commissions or messaging me directly, and i can give you a general price as to what that'd cost you. but if you're willing to be somewhat loose with it/not nearly as strict about it and are wanting to stick around a certain price range of your own, then the pwyw's im offering here may be a good fit for you.
but regardless, either way no matter what you'd want to offer/regardless of all that, you'd still be getting a piece from me that has love and effort poured into it, regardless of whether you paid less and things ended up on the simpler/basic side, or ended up with a more complex piece because of a generous payment and/or creative freedom in mind! when you note me or we're messaging each other, if you let me know how much you are wanting to offer/pay, based on the details you give me, i'll give you a rough but not exact idea of what i'd think the final pieces style or colour/shading amount would be based on that price before you pay, so you can know if you still wish to go through with the pwyw comm or not, want to pay more to seek out more than what i explained your initial cost would get you, or if you wanna use a different idea for a pwyw piece because you'd rather save a certain idea for a regular commission (aka something with a more solid outcome) whether for me or someone else. either way, you'll probably have some general idea of how it'll look like if it's not a follow up piece or something!
as mentioned basic commission rules as listed here apply. payment can be done through the same methods - so either i can invoice you on paypal, or stripe, or you can send the money through ko-fi, or so on! (however, if your pwyw comm is wanted to be nsfw-oriented, please note me first about details/do not leave those details in ko-fi or paypal, please!)
if anyone ends up interested in one of these at all, you can either dm me, or you can show your interest here in the comments, and i can dm you first to discuss the details!
thanks either way for all ya'll's support and enjoyment of my art regardless of whether you're a commissioner or just like to consume my art, or just are dropping in!
i hope ya'll have wonderful days and nights ahead of you <3 take care of yourselves, remember to stretch and hydrate, and take it easy as you can :]
THESE ARE OPEN INDEFINITELY/FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. unless i update this journal saying otherwise, or put pause on commissions as a whole which i would announce in another journal, i intend to keep these up for a while. i lost my irl job recently (recently as in end of august/beginning of september at time of writing this), and outside of that these comms help me so i can work towards paying off my phone and save stuff up for potential medical bills, even once i do have a job again. so i have no reason to discontinue this lil "special" comm type for the time being!
