Apart from a fascination with cartoon animals since my first glimpse of Bugs, I suppose I've been a Furry Fan since I started collecting Howard the Duck comics in 1976, and moved on to hoard Cerebus the Aardvark, QT Bunny, Albedo, and every other furryesque comic that appeared afterward.

I'm so old and musty that I used to write actual pen and paper letters to furry artists before the web came into existence. Bizarre and horrifying, I know.

I used to attend various furry cons, but I'm just too lazy and cranky now to deal with the B.O. and the 400-pound fans breaking the elevators every five minutes and all of the other irritating little bits that go along with the environment. My first convention was ConFurence 5, and it was almost certainly the best time I'd had in my entire life up to that point. Now, I'd rather get together with other furs one-on-one and enjoy them in peace and without constant distraction.

I'm a total misanthrope who's practically incapable of hating individuals. Until I've met you, though, you're assumed to be an unreasonable, church-going, Sean Hannity-loving, gay-hating, American Idol-watching moron who can't drive a car or even walk down the street without making a public nuisance of yourself... and you look funny and you smell. Of course, since you're on FA, few of those are likely to apply to you... except for being smelly and funny-looking... and being a bad driver.

I both write and draw (badly) for my own enjoyment, but please don't expect to see any of it posted anywhere. There's enough unreadable pap and refrigerator art on the web already, don't you think? Let's allow the people who actually have a shred of ability to bear the titles of Author and Artist rather than applying it to anyone who's capable of clicking an Upload button.
