"A New Life: The Facility" Reivew Spoiler Free (G)
So I recently just got back from vacation. While I was out, I decided to bring my copy of A New Life: The Facility to read. This book is about a world were a large population of people have been turned into anthropromoprhic animals. There is no actual transformation in the story. It focuses more on the adaptation of these people and how the world handles them.
So I bought this book last year some time after Anthrocon 2024 after seeing a pamphlet for the book. I haven't gotten a chance to read it over the year, and I eventually found new pamphlets at Anthrocon 2025 along with seeing the authro in person at the Transformation Meet and Greet. I told him I had purchased the book last year, and he presented me a sticker based off the logo of the in story facility, the Reform Corporation for the Changed, the RCC.
I left for my vacation on the 16th and brought the book on along to read before bed. After getting several chapters into the book, I was really kicking myself for not reading it sooner. I REALLY enjoyed the story. I love the characters and how they journey. I won't get into any spoilers, but I agree with the message it gives. You can have fur, tails, long ears, or even scales, if you really put yourself out there and do whats best for yourself and others, you can still be human no matter what you look.
So in the end, if this type of story interests you, go get the book. I reccomended it for any transformation lover. Its a very gripping and interesting story. It really pulled me in and I have been having this "high" of happiness after reading it. I do hope that in the future, the author makes a sequel with the same characters, or even other characters going through the same situation.
Here is the Amazon link if anybody is interested in the book: https://a.co/d/bLU3lVE
