Well flip me another February 14th has cycled around already, that snuck up on me quickly.

As per tradition I want to take a chance today when so much of the content we are exposed to is focused on romantic partnerships, modern expectations and sadly shining a spotlight on those who are currently feeling alone, to twist the focus and remind people how there are so many different types of loves and ways to express closeness. So lets take a step away from valentines, as to be frank it hardly seems true or romantic if you are duty bound by expectation, and instead try to focus today on hearts and hugs - the difference we can make to others, and that they have on us <3

Friends, family, acquaintances, even colleagues or a stranger. A simple smile, a kind word, an offer of help or a big soft gentle hug. A show of support, a gesture of appreciation or acknowledgement and validation of worth. There are so so so many ways we can take a tiny action, just a few seconds and little to no effort, but have a real impact on people around us, so if you get the chance, not just today, but anyway, please do, show that smile, thank someone, tell them how you appreciate them and offer a gentle hug (^. .^)

Along with this if you get the chance, take the time reflect, sit and think on when people might have done this for you, those little reinforcements, reminders and boosts that can build up, that help you through a tough time, make smiling easier and give a day a nice positive shine. Love can be shown in so many ways, at so many levels and can make such a difference, love those around you and make the world a better place, for them and yourself as you all deserve it <3


While I am waffling on and it being in my thinker right now, as we practice self care, acceptance and love, along with care, acceptance and love for those around us, looking after our head and emotional health, please please please don't forget your physical health and looking after that heart of yours (^. .^) this is something I sadly do struggle a lot with but am trying my best, so be healthy and happy when you can, do your best and know this silly dragon is very proud of you <3
