Nappers (G)
Physical Attributes:
• Name: Napperd
• Age (how long has the species existed?): Millions of years
• General Appearance: Repiliean like in nature
• Lifespan: 50-70 years
• Defence Mechanisms/Strategies (how do they protect themselves against predators?): Nappers have a very unique type of defence mechanism. They have a sac in there throat that’s full of acid which they spit out like a spitting cobra. There long claws are another form of defence, though mainly used for catching prey and digging nests, they are very sharp and thick, perfect for defence. Nappers are also very agile, using there speed and size to there advantage, most enemies are likely to tire out before they do.
• Abilities: acid spitting
• Locomotion (how do they move? Eg. humans walk, snakes slither): walking/ running
• Herbivore, Carnivore or Omnivore?: Omnivore
• Diet (specifically what they eat): Everything
• Intelligence: they are family pack animals, the two parents leading the pack and working together with the family to hunt, and protect eachother
• Illnesses (any unique diseases that the species is vulnerable to?): no sickness known yet
• Predators: almost anything bigger or stronger then them could be considered a Preditor to them
• Problems (any problems that are caused by the species physical appearance/abilities): they are very bad swimmers if they fall in the water they will most certainly drown
Species Culture: Nappers are very family pack oriented. Some packs can grow to be up to 3 generations with the male being the lead. Females leave there pack to be with the males pack.
Habitat: Nappers have 2 varients, forest and desert, pretty self explanatory, but the forest varent lives in jungles/forests while the desert lives in desert areas.
• Language (do they speak English or do they have their own language? If not civilised, what animal sounds do they make?): Nappers communicate mostly with clicks, growls or chirps, but when they are threatened they can let out a gorlwing/hissing sound
• How does the species attract a mate?: Nappers have a VERY unique way to attract a mate. Males will jump and twirl around in an almost dance like motion, while doing this they will wave there tails around. With the way the end spike on there tail is shaped, the wind passing through it could sound like a whistle, moving the tail in certain motions could create an almost song like sound. They use this song as well as there movements to attract the females.
• Gender Status (are the males or females dominant? Are the genders equal?): Nappers are lead by both parents (male and female) but most of the decisions are made by males
• Do they travel in groups/packs or alone?: Pack hunters
• Clothing (do they wear clothes?): Nappers if bonded to a more civilised creature (ex humans) could be found wearing some kind of jewelry, but normally they don’t have any
Aging:
• How do they procreate?: Mating
• Infancy (what is childhood like for this species? How do mothers care for infants?): Nappers lay between 2-5 eggs with the average being 3, the females will mainly care for the eggs as the males will go out hunting, but after the eggs hatch the males step in and work with the females to teach the children how to hunt, scavenge, and defend themselves
History:
• General history of species: Not much is known into the history of these creatures
• If this species is just an animal, has it been domesticated by another species? If so, how was it domesticated?: Nappers can NOT be domesticated under any means, they are VERY stubborn and nearly impossible to domesticate. Although, they can create bonds with other creatures and work along side them
