This is the official Furaffinity fan page for the metal band known as Disturbed. Though currently on hiatus, I believe that when they do come back, they will come back stronger than ever. 



About Disturbed:"Disturbed is an American heavy metal band from Chicago, Illinois. The band's members are vocalist David Draiman, guitarist Dan Donegan, bassist John Moyer, and drummer Mike Wengren. Former band members were vocalist Erich Awalt and bassist Steve "Fuzz" Kmak. Formed in 1994 as Brawl, the band was renamed Disturbed in 1996 after Draiman was hired as the band's new vocalist. Since the band's formation, they have sold over 13 million albums worldwide, making them one of the largest grossing metal/rock bands in recent years.[1] The band has released five studio albums, four of which have consecutively debuted at number-one on the Billboard 200.[2] The band went into an indefinite hiatus in October 2011, and the band's members are currently working on various side projects." ~Wikipedia.

The name Disturbed comes from the way society views things, how people look at you when you are different. Draiman wanted the name to have dual meanings. The name Disturbed makes people think that there must be something wrong with them, but they are disturbed by the commonality and sheep like mentality of society that in turn makes the band members disturbed. They are disturbed that society discourages us from distinguishing ourselves as individuals. They don't believe in fitting in or belonging. What is truly disturbing is the way society condemns what it does not understand. 



The group is open to those who are fans, and those who share the philosophy or mentality behind the name of the band.
