The Most Boring Journal Ever
Updating because my old journal is OLD.
What to write? I guess I could talk about my current life. You can avoid falling asleep on your keyboard if you stop reading here.
I'm finishing up my associate's degree in multimedia design this fall with a portfolio class. It should be fun compiling and updating all of my design work to make it presentable. I'll probably start up some freelance work and transfer right after this semester is over. I'm pretty excited to move along to a better college with students who actually CARE about art and design. Well, hopefully.
Artistically I've been into photography recently. It's one of those hobbies that takes a lot of time and money, so I've put off most console gaming. In my constant search to find interesting photographic subjects, I've happened upon the world of urban exploration. UE, as it is often abbreviated, is discovering and exploring abandoned buildings that are usually off-limits. There are risks, but it's a lot of fun if you prepare and know what you are getting into.
Musically my tastes have really broadened, but mostly mellowed out. I've been listening to a lot of chilled out ambient and instrumental stuff like Hammock and Helios. I've discovered a few new genres that I'd never known of before, like post-rock and shoegaze. I discovered the band Jakob, and they quickly took a spot in my top 10 favorite groups of all time, which include Katatonia, Dredg, Hybrid and BT.
Don't have much else to say other than I hope to be more active here. Even if I'm not uploading I'll probably be lurking around looking at art.
Keep it real, peeps!
