Hey!
I log in on FA only very occasionally. Feel free to boop me on Telegram.
Wondering where a picture with your character and mine went? It still exists, just not right here. <3

Hello again world
Maybe I should start paying some attention to this site again?
I've started to grow a little weary of the social media platforms I've been using to post, follow and interact instead of FA for several years now. Twitter/X, and then Bluesky, as well as trying to keep up with waaaay too many group chats than I can handle on Telegram has kept me off this good old site entirely. The recent porn censorship on Twitter along with yet another exodus of people I know from there hasn't exactly made me more motivated to keep up with that platform.
The feeling of fuss and hassle and hopping between apps or platforms is growing a little bit tiring. I'm a little tired of the fast pace and short form post vibe, too. I'm going to sound old and grumpy saying this, but damn, it's like I miss how things used to be more than a decade ago. Forums. Blog posts. Older internet vibes. Longer, more thought out posts that you log in and read occasionally, not every time you sit down for more than 20 seconds. That it's normal to post something and have a conversation with multiple people spanning days, or even weeks, with no sense of rush to respond and no character limit forcing you to be very very brief. I do want to keep up with friends and acquaintances, but maybe I'm not made for the fast paced short form content environment I've been trying to live in for the past 5 years. (Although, is anyone, hah!)
Maybe I'm just being nostalgic, but I'm missing something from how my life online was 10 years ago. I had many friends I kept contact with over the internet, but I managed to do it with just one or two group chats to pay attention to, and with slow platforms like forums and blogs. It was rewarding, fun, and built close, good friendships with people, but it never felt overwhelming or frustrating. It feels like it was possible to get a lot more for a lot less.
Maybe I'll start paying a little less attention to the fast-paced apps and platforms I'm growing increasingly tired of, and try to spend some time over here every now and then. Post some journals. Look at what friends are up to on here, if anyone still is up to anything here. Maybe this is just a shout out into the void, or maybe I'll pick up some of my older, nicer online habits. Damn, maybe there is some mysterious place somewhere where people still post on forums and make blog posts.
We'll see!
