I have finished a rough draft design for Hua! I'm very excited. I hope I can move into the refinement stage tomorrow! IM SO EXCITED. Hopefully with him I'll be able to show off and make this account less vanilla. I got a lot of things I want to do. Lots of ideas. All of them tasty with a good amount of cayane! Spicy Noodle Boi. Though...I know I need to be careful and not overdo the design. If it's to complex I won't want to draw him. If it's to simple he won't feel special. The tight rope of life really. My folder is just full of concept art at this point. I even dived into the horror that is pintrest on mobile browser. It wasn't pretty. My feed is also just danmei now, which is nice. Turns out they have the exact Aesthetic I was looking for. I even went ahead and named Hua after the biggest inspiration. If you know, you know.

I'm also nearing done with the lineart for a perspective piece. Like forever ago I drew Rory in an apartment kitchen, if we think of these as linear, then this next one would be their new place. I'll explain once it's actually posted, but I'm liking how it's looking. I've learned a lot in these last few year and I think it shows. It's also so visually different than character design, but equally meticulous. It's a great challenge, designing a room you think your character would put together. Idk many games or apps that would let you beyond building boxes in blender so you know where the furniture goes.

OH YEAH, speaking of Danmei guess what I started reading. Casefile Compendium, it's so good. Like it's so fun, the story is so compelling. The characters are so detailed and fleshed out. The horrors are bone chilling. The humor is my exact cuppa. The mystery? Dude I'm strapped in. I hate that there are only two books translated right now. I wanna binge.
Then Husky and White Cat doesn't release its next book until August(?) Maybe. Imma double check later. I want it though. THAT CLIFF HANGER! HA! Loosing my mind.
I also found Tyrant and his Fish at my bookstore, pleasant surprise. I read the full fan translation ready, it's so cute. Much much lighter than Casefile Compendium and Husky and White Cat. It definitely leans on some fanfic tropes, which I loved. So cute!
The current debate I'm having is if I should get the full set of Scumbag Villain. I have them all on kindle but having physical copies feels better.
ALSO ALSO Bean Counter, I need more, but fuck yen press. Like, there's no distinction on covers or in the item title if you're looking at the novel or the Manga. I'm trying to read the novels. Lord help me though, I ended up buying the Manga set. I did not want that. I've been looking for fantrans sites with it, but no dice. Just some reddit post talking about it. Ha, I wish I knew how to read. I could just snatch up the books as they realese overseas. Life would be better, for me specifically. My work would suffer greatly. My coworkers already laugh at my dramatics as I listen to books.
