Let me start by saying, Happy holidays and I hope yall have a Happy New Years!

This past year has been crazy and emotionally all over the place for me.
A bit over a year ago, in June/July of 2024, I got fired from a job i had been at for about 18yrs, it was all i knew; i ate, lived and breathed that shit, and without notice i was out because of stupid drama. I still have some lil keepsakes from there which is nice. There was no work-Life balance when i was there, no seperation. Hell, no one there knew/called me by my actual name other than my dad and husband. There was a whole thing about my name for some reason, so i stopped learnin everyone elses names. Sometimes even my paychecks were wrong (my name isnt difficult). The only time there was a break was in 2020, when i was furloughed. So when i got fired, i didnt know what to do. I stayed unemployed for 2 or 3 weeks, my husband suggested it, to help me emotionally.

I ended up getting a job at another place that did somewhat of the same things as my last job, so i had some knowledge. They had shift differentials (2nd shift made +5% more, 3rd shift made +10% more). I opted for 3rd shift building the print head parts, it was nice to do somethin i wasnt used to and actually work with my hands. They didnt want me to have email on my phone, they told me that as soon as i left the building, it was my life and time, so no one would call me unless to say that work was cancelled or somethin. I was only allowed 8hrs a day, unless i wanted to work OT (and only if it was available), and even then i was only allowed to work 4hrs max a day of OT. It was heaven compared to last job. Im makin the same amount i was makin at my old job when i left, it was half the mileage to get to, and I even made friends!

Yesterday morning, My work friends and me had a Gift exchange cause we agreed to git eachother gifts. I got them small things, im glad they liked them! they put their monies together and got me a brand new gaming laptop and my brain broke. My laptop is bout 10yrs old, so soon i was gonna have to git a new one anyways. They said it was to help improve my art (i do sketches on clip studio paint). They are awsome and i gotta git them back lol

I am so thankful for new job and gittin to work 3rd shift, its been a neat expirience and alot of fun. its also given me the chance to take care of my dog more, he turned 11 yrs old in april, his arthritus and problems are gittin worse, so i need to be home when my husband isnt.

My car of alil over 10yrs was mucked, the bumper had rusted through, so naturally i had to git a new car. Another honda CR-V. im not a fan of all the things the car does on its own, but i understand y they exist. I shut them off. That was november/december of 2024. Maybe 2 weeks ago, A year apart, my husbands car dies, no clue the problem with it, it just shit the bed. So he needed a new car. He wasnt able to trade his car in yet, as it wasnt safe to drive there, so we have to git it towed there. MONEY.

money issues are rearin their ugly head so im thinkin after new years im goin to open commishs.

I failed my art challenge for the year SPECTACULARLY. i got 2 pieces of artwork done vs the 12 i wanted to do. Life got in the way.

Overall, a not bad year.
