To most people, I may not look or act like what the world considers to be "furry" (whatever the hell that is); however, I've been a part of the furry fandom since the age of 11. That's right, since 1997--the age of Furnation, Geocities, Anglefire, and search engines like Excite and Lycos. Damn you, Road Rovers, and your stupid sexiness! (Of course, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Thundercats had ensured my doom years before that.)

That being said, I'm not an artist, and I haven't really pursued much online socialization in the fandom, so I'm pretty much unknown despite my longevity (changes to my fursona along the way haven't helped in that regard, either). Not to mention the times where I had to lie about my identity and age to participate in certain things before I was legal. Seriously, having to wait seven years to use my own info for things was a challenge. It was totally worth it, though.

To paraphrase one of my favorite TMNT quotes: "Man, I love bein' a furry!"
