Five years on HRT! (G)

On April 21, 2021, I had my first appointment at Planned Parenthood. That same day, I came home with my first prescription of estrogen and progesterone.
The past five years have been an incredible, joyful journey of self-discovery. Being able to feel emotions again, learning how to take care of my body all over again, wanting to live a fuller, happier life... it's been so rewarding. I don't remember what it was that finally pushed me over the edge to make that appointment, but I'm so glad I did.
I hope for all trans people out there - binary and nonbinary alike - that no matter where you are or what happens in the world, you can transition and live as your truest, happiest selves. I will be here to do whatever I can to make sure we no longer have to live in a world of fear.
