Hey guys
With discord exploding I'm moving to matrix.
I suggest everyone leave discord too. They have already been subpoenaed by the department of Homeland security to get info of people critical of ICE. They haven't even really walked back thr ID stuff, just delayed it.
Matrix is an open source protocol that is self host able and more importantly, decentralized and federated, so it can't succumb to pressure of authoritarian governments.

If you want to join matrix I suggest using the Cinny client. It has stickers and emojis (but no voice yet). If voice is a deal breaker for you, the element client has it.
Whatever you move to please consider the future viability of the platform. Who is making it? Is it a for-profit company? Is it open source? Is it using AI in the programming?
