I've decided to return, although I probably still won't be posting much art. As you can see from my gallery, and as I gathered from the 'interest' in my reopened commission ops, my drawing style really just kind of sucks, even with some of the improvements I've made. I'll still make concept art for my writing, but I don't think Im gunna bother asking for commissions again. I was probably always a better writer than artist anyway. SO I think I'll just stick to what Im already better at.
I have decided to put 'Ash City' on hold as well. It would make a better comic than book idea anyway, and I'd like to play a bit with an idea thats been in the back of my mind for a while and develop it a bit, maybe even start writing some books based on it. I've not written a full novel in over five years, so I'm likely a bit rusty there too. Therefore Im going to write a few short stories that will establish some 'lore' first, and maybe some supporting lit. If I do write a novel series, I want to do it right this time, and from the ground up, so that it's more understandable from the beginning. It also, obviously, will be on a smaller scale than a 'Pan-Galactic Space Opera'. I think we've had enough of those in media lately anyway, isn't that right Disney? lol.
So I'm back and the first thing I have to say is: wtf is up with the new format? What did you folks do? This website is now more confusing and convoluted than DeviantART. It's probably going to be anotheer week before I can figure out just HOW to submit a piece (/exaggeration). Can a site just pick a format it's comfortable with and just KEEP IT? I admit I'm a bit biased because I personally dont like change, but EVERYTIME I log in to a site it seems it looks completely different, and that does tend to erk me.
Personal ranting aside, I'd also like to say that I'm gunna be opening my own Discord once I start my writing process. If, by chance, my work attracts some attention, I'll be popping in there when possible to talk to people. If you're interested, here's and Invite Link: https://discord.gg/YEs2z5H
