So I made a group of survivors to toss at Nessa and her infected, and I fucking adore them so much. I felt like drawing them in Animal Crossing style, because it's fun and easy.

Casey's a hockey player from Canada who was traveling on a trip to the states with his team when zombies fucked them over big time, and he was the only one who managed to make it out alive. Obviously his weapon of choice is a hockey stick, because it's all he had until after meeting up with Jaq. Very well-tempered, looks out for the group the most. He later learns how to use a hunting rifle, but doesn't use it much.

Jaq's one of those nerdy guys, obsessed with horror games n shit. He actually invested in a zombie survival kit and a bunch of zombie survival guides. Unfortunately, none of that could prepare him for when the infected mutated. Casey saved his ass from getting strangled and mauled to death by a smoker, and they've been bros ever since. They tend to poke fun at each other a lot, at least before shit really goes down. Jaq's weapons of choice are a shotgun and a crowbar. He's a bit impulsive and gets himself into a lot of trouble.

Tamira's a no-nonsense biker chick. Constantly grouchy due to the fact that she can't ever find a box of cigarettes, and she REALLY NEEDS A FUCKING SMOKE! She originally didn't even want to travel with the other two, but since her bike ran out of gas and there was none to be found anywhere in the town, she had no real choice. Originally, she was going to just travel with them until she reached her family, but unfortunately a tank did them all in before she could get there, and by that time, she had warmed up to the other two enough to stick around. She prefers double pistols and a pipe wrench.

Not pictured above is Doc, a doctor who used to work a shitty military base. Out of all four of them, Doc's the only one who's completely immune to the infection. Because of Doc, the trio find out that they are carriers, and he urges them to get out of the base as quickly as possible and to get as far away as they can. Doc obviously hates working for the military, so after Doc helps them escape, they take him with them. He gets along well with all three of the others, even Tamira who quickly becomes attached and eventually sees him as a brother. He's not the best at combat, but everyone does their best to help teach him how to properly defend himself.

He's very calm and gentle, but can be firm and harsh if needed. He ends up becoming the group's unanimous leader, and helps keep everyone together when times get rough.

I wrote a lot more about them on tumblr, but eh.
Might try my hand at writing a fanfic about them, or at least all the events that occur before the role-play between Nessa and I.
