I think they're playing Cricket. Or at least the fox (who I'm guessing is British) thinks so. The Golden Retrievers (Americans) seem to think it's baseball....

Heh heh heh, yeah, I noticed there's no wicket or whatever that thing is called that's used in Cricket for about the same purpose as a base in Baseball. So the fox is just using a cricket-bat for baseball.
