A few months have passed since the defeat of Fargus Poker by the hands of Adam Vegas and his friends. Though a few months is a long time, Vegas and his friends could remember every single bit about their fight with Fargus as if it happened yesterday. Vegas and his friends faced off against Fargus along with his companions, Thomas Keno, Antoinette 'Bullet Queen' Amour and “The Secretary” at the top of GoldenLight Tower, the headquarters of Fargus himself. The battle between Vegas and Fargus’s parties was brutal and difficult. In the end, Vegas’s party was victorious.

At the end of the battle, a shocking thing occurred. Fargus, realizing that he had lost, attempted to commit suicide by falling off the edge of GoldenLight Tower. Vegas attempted to stop Fargus only to be stopped by “The Secretary” who states that the loser will forfeit his life. Hence, came the death of the High Roller which everyone knew as the Ace of Spades. After this shocking event unfolded, “The Secretary” along with Keno and Antoinette walked away. However, before they left, “The Secretary” tells Vegas and his friends something which made the latter surprised.
“Someday, you will know the truth behind all that has happened up until now,”

Despite their surprise at what “The Secretary” said, Vegas and his friends celebrated their victory. They have been hailed as heroes who have returned order to GoldenLight City. Although Vegas and his companions enjoyed the luxuries they were offered at that time, they knew that future threats may occur in the city. As such, they decided to hone their fighting skills in order to prepare for these threats as well as to prepare to unravel the truth behind all the events they went through during Fargus’s reign.

For a few months, aside from going through everyday activities, Vegas and his friends trained to become stronger. All has been normal until one fine day when Vegas and Vayler received a mysterious letter at their home in Backgammon Harbor. The letter which was written by an anonymous person states that Vegas and Vayler should go to the top of GoldenLight Tower in order to know the “truth”. Curious about the letter’s contents, Vegas and Vayler decided to head to the tower. Upon reaching the top of it, they met Acacia, Chip and Vince whom also received the same letter.

As everyone pondered about the letter’s contents, little did they know that they would go into another world and in turn, be embroiled in another adventure…
