Moonlight Heartbreak

As the sky darkens as the moon begins to rise with a bright light shining onto the ground.
It hits my tears as they fall down my furred cheeks.
Moments before, me and my mate were arguing over the fact that he cheated on me.
He slammed the door in my face as I asked him why he has done this.
As I sobbed and tears fell down my face he just managed to say “I just don’t love you anymore”
And slammed the door in my wet face.
After losing him, I mourned, mourned that the fact I was used but yet I still love him
Thus, here I am in the middle of the mild night, sitting in the park on a bench by myself as I sobbed quietly to not attract any attention.
My tail laid by me emotionlessly as I covered my face.
In my head over and over again I questioned myself thinking “Is it me? What did I do wrong? Am I nothing to him now?”
