And, fun fact, my RL self has been experimenting with home-brewed root beer as well. That 'Mr Root Beer' kit was on sale, so I decided 'why not, I've spent more on a videogame I end up disliking.' It's actually pretty good, has a slight 'bready' aftertaste, but that might be that the yeast really went to town and finished the carbonation in half a day, instead of taking the 'one day to two weeks (typically three days)' the instructions said.

I tried to make my own from a kit as well. Mine was fermented, so I didn't even try it. That was a wash.
