I'm imagining it at the end of a dark hallway with one flickery spotlight pointing at it.

you could probably make it with the same stuff they make road signs with, which i'm pretty sure is paint with glass particles in it. i'm not sure if they're in other countries, but here in australia, there are these blue squares that are on a lot of telephone poles that shine really brightly when a torch is on them (which would make the spotlight perfect!).
