This, unfortunately, is the leading comic of the Northern Star, the student-run NIU newspaper. The paper is usually very good! This...(almost) daily comic strip, however, is consistently one of the worst, most unfunny things I've ever read in my life.

On Valentine's Day, the writers of 'The Punchline Is Corn' decided to reach for new lows.

At least our comics are good. The opinions page tends to only contain the opinions of people that have no clue what they are talking about and the advice page generally only does stupid sex advice. Some of the columnists also annoy me greatly. They tend not to care about facts.

Yeah the comics aren't so great at the star. I should know, i write articles there. Heck, one of my teachers even noticed, and it's the most akward thing to have a history-type teacher mention in front of several students about when you write an article about Dead Space 3. College = weird things
