mate of Nightblack, this particular spirit wolf from book two of Tamora Pierce's Immortals series, the book is entitled Wolf-speaker, OldWhite is the majestic immortal wolf spirit to all wolf clans, he is wise and contemplative, as well as ever watchful, yet still bares those wonderful lupine foibles that makes us all so great ^_^ I can honestly say I’m fairly proud of this sketch using chalk pastels over white Bristol board, mostly the background became lost in the scanning process, but this time I was able to incorporate shadows into my works...I feel as though now I can hopefully say pastels is my favored traditional medium
