My characters usually have almost human feet with some animal features (cat claws), and ride the fence between plantigrade and digitigrade. Since that doesn't make much sense biologically, I wanted to see what I could do in full "digitigrade mode".
Let me tell you, it's hard to get right. There's a reason why humans are plantigrades - the lack of tail make us stand straight, with our feet flat on the ground. Trying to adapt digitigrade feet in there means changing the whole gait (as in adding a tail and bending the body forward) for stability... or changing the leg bone structure into something totally new. Don't get me started on running stance.
I think I need more practice. That bottom-left pose looks a bit awkward ^^
