My First Prop <3

Well, I did it. I made a shield to go with my Ceyla outfit. It'sconstructed entirely of Foam, paper, hot glue, an old pleather coat and one length of rope.

I'm not sure how I feel about it, some things really worked and others I'm not too sure about. I was going for an old worn buckler kind of look, But... I'm not... maybe?

What do you think?

Well, maybe if you smudge the rope and shield here and there with some dirt, you could get it to look more used and old...perhaps a few scratches on the surface here and there.

It looks nicely made though. :3

Oh yes... I dunno, I don't remember what shields from that movie look like but it's entirely possible it looks like one

Looks good on the photo.

If you want an "old" look, then wood and rope should have less saturated colors; rather greyish (wood dark, rope kind of dirty-bleached). No idea how to fake it though
