Well, from someone that falls pretty hard for pen and ink works, Alex Spastics work is a close ideal to what I'd like to strive at. Being limited with working with wet material, though, I stick with the shading skills that school had taught me, and try and get comfortable with the idea of working with polarized extremes for making art instead of fine detail. To me, it's one of the more emotionally involving medias out there, since intention is the more focus point due to a lack of colors and hues. So, design is where I've gotta start, it seems.
This is more of Brandon, whom has wrongfully been brushed into the dank corners of my mind as of late. Shading requires hard, rough sketches, and a light approach as well, which is why drawing him is a delightful exercise on a more feathery approach (sorry).
Any and all comments are welcome.
